As a general rule of thumb, we suggest following these simple guidelines when planning what to wear:

They are also usually very comfortable and familiar, meaning that you will feel more like yourself during your photoshoot!
Opt for neutral colours when possible, with the subtle flair of colour when appropriate. Often bold colours, patterns and pieces can steer the focus away from the overall composition of your photo.
Follow the Goldilocks Rule: not too big, not too small, but just right!
Always plan for at least two back-up outfits. On the day of your photoshoot, you may suddenly fall out of love with the ensemble you have put together. If this is the case, you will have at least two alternatives ready to go!

To make the most of your session, we recommend arriving at your appointment with hair that is freshly washed and dried. No straightening or use of products necessary, but if possible, we do recommend visiting your hairdresser for a trim and root touch up if possible!
Our expert hair stylist will work closely with you to ensure that you are happy with the results. We suggest bringing photos with you of hairstyles that you admire, to provide the stylist with direction and inspiration.
Nails
Did you know that hands and nails play an important role in most photoshoots? From showcasing an engagement ring or supporting a baby belly during pregnancy, to holding a laptop or pen during a branding session, your hands will make more appearances in your photos than you may think!
To ensure that your nails are captured beautifully, we suggest pampering yourself with a manicure and opting for either a natural or clear polish. This will help to achieve a clean, fresh and natural look when your hands appear in photos.
Make-Up

We recommend arriving at your photography session with skin that is freshly washed and free of any cosmetics. If you would like to achieve a certain look, be sure to bring photos with you to discuss with the cosmetician.
